Movies I Watched In July

1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

I had to start watching all the HP movies since I promised a friend I’d watch the last installment with her. Ugh. But after watching this first one, I’d say it’s not that bad naman. It’s nice to finally watch the stuff I used to only hear/read about. Wingardium Leviosa!

2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

The trio noticeably grew up in this movie. Hindi na sila masyadong cute. Except for Ron. Hahaha!

3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Hindi ko nahulaan ang twist dito. Ang galing. Hehe.

4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I was waiting kasi saang movie s’ya lalabas. At nashock ako namatay pala si Cedric dito. I think I cried. I think lang.

5. Harry Potter and theĀ Order of the Phoenix

Parang puro salita eh.

6. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Snape! Yun lang. Hahaha!

7. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

Hindi ko na masyadong naintindihan ‘to since I was way sleepy na. I think I started watching 1AM already.

8. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

IMAX! I super love him! Haaay. I loved this last movie. Parang after this, fan na ako. Must read the books.

9. Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Yes, again. But this time on IMAX. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it!

Oh yes, it’s Harry Potter month!

Movies I Watched In June

1. X-Men: First Class

Awesome movie which tells the story of how the X-Men began, when Magneto and Professor X were still friends and they were just starting to discover the existence of other mutants. Some parts were boring and dragging but overall, it’s still a great movie. At umuulan ng gwapo. Hahaha!

2. Before Sunrise

Because I wanted to free up some space on my HD, I watched this on a rainy Sunday night. Ang gwapo lang ni Ethan Hawke!!! Nung patapos na yung movie, I sort of had this fantasy of meeting such a guy sa MRT. Asa ‘di ba? Then suddenly the daydream changed into that of a certain guy asking me to get off at the Shaw station instead of Boni. Amp lang.

3. No Strings Attached

I’ve been wanting to watch this for so long then when I finally did, I was a little disappointed. It was kinda boring, really. It probably only had 2 highlights. Ashton’s buns in full glory and that part where he said, “You should know that if you come any closer, I’m not letting you go.” That’s it.

4. The Hangover 2

This is funny shit. I even watched it twice. I think I laughed at almost every scene. Yeah, it’s the same story line from the first installment but so what? The formula works. And I think that’s the whole point of the movie. It would no longer be The Hangover if it’s not the same concept.

5. Limitless

Finally. It’s darn good. Amazing how those NZT pills work. Sana totoo na lang. Imagine becoming fluent with a new language just by listening. And learning a musical instrument in 3 days. I shouldn’t have let them sway me. This would have been worth my money.

6. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

It’s waaaaaaaay better than the second installment. Another awesome movie! Hahaha! It helped that there were a lot of funny scenes. At hindi ko namiss si Megan Fox. Hot din naman yung pumalit. Nagsusumigaw ang lips, mala Agnelina. Hahaha!

1. The Longest Yard

The storyline is nothing new. Pero sobrang laugh trip! I don’t really pay that much attention since I was on Facebook and Twitter but then again I couldn’t help but laugh when I do focus on the movie.

2. She’s Out Of My League

Nice movie. Aside from the laughs, I like the love story. A girl that is a perfect 10 fell in love with a guy that is a 5 or 6. Happy endings are possible.

3. Thor

Bitin! Hahaha! Anyway, maganda yung movie. Wala namang part na nabore ako. Can’t wait for the Avengers movie.

4. One More Chance

Epic talaga ‘to.

5. Kung Fu Panda 2

Because I love pandas. And I know someone who looks like Po the panda. This movie made me laugh all the way through. Or mababaw lang talaga kami nung kasama ko? Basta, this movie is AWESOME!

6. Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides

I haven’t watched any of the previous installments so there were moments when I was lost. Some of the dialogues were hard to understand too but I was quite surprised that it was a really good movie. Haha!

1. Across The Universe

Musical pala s’ya. I loved the songs so I immediately got the OST. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the movie. Hindi ko na s’ya tinapos. I just couldn’t sit through it. I don’t know why, parang na-bore ako.

2. Source Code

I felt like the movie was too short and the ending was bitin. Hahaha! But I must admit for a movie that had to go through the same scene over and over again, they found a way to not make it feel like it was too repetitive and boring. Also, natuwa rin ako sa movie na ‘to kasi wala pa ata sa 1/4 ng movie alam ko na sino yung hinahanap nilang bomber. Proud of myself. Hahaha!

3. That Thing Called Love (Thai Movie)

I super loved it!!! I can totally see myself in the characters’ shoes at one scene or another. They were right. If you were not able to relate to this movie it means you didn’t go through high school. Either that or you were really boring and geeky. Kilig!

4. The Five People You Meet In Heaven

This was based on Mitch Albom’s book, which I was able to read a long time ago. I’ve also had this movie in my hard drive for the longest time but only found the interest to watch it now. I can remember most of the scenes. I did cry but I think I cried more while reading the book.

5. Up In The Air

People kept saying that this is a great movie. I did not really find it amazing. And it’s totally heartbreaking. I didn’t cry or anything but it totally broke my heart, what happened to George Clooney’s character.

1. 127 Hours

It’s a well-made movie and James Franco is awesome but I can’t help but feel nauseous on some parts. Some scenes are totally gross. It’s a good thing I didn’t puke nor faint.

2. My Amnesia Girl

Just because we wanted to watch something light and funny after getting grossed out by 127 Hours. I didn’t find it that much funny this time around. I don’t know if it’s because of the previous movie or the novelty has worn off. But I still think it’s a nice movie, though.

3. Sucker Punch

At first, I had no idea what this movie was about. So when J requested that we watch this instead of Limitless, I insisted that I’d rather watch Limitless alone. To watch a movie alone is one of my 2011 goals so I said it will not be a problem. But R said this is a good movie since it is similar to D.O.A where the protagonist is a girl. Knowing I liked D.O.A, I agreed to watch this with them instead. At first, the movie start great. The effects were nice and all. But the changing scenes were sort of confusing. I was lost on, which was real and which was imagined. Some fight scenes were boring while some kept me on the edge of my seat. At the end credits, I was speechless. I no longer wanted to discuss it. Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood to think deeper when I watched it so I didn’t get the whole idea. Maybe I need to watch it a second time.

4. Battle: Los Angeles

This movie is gunfire all throughout. Parang nakakasawa na towards the middle. Feeling ko the movie was a drag. It was too long at a little over 2 hours. It also didn’t have that much of a plot. Although I did cry when one of the civilians died and his son was talking to the Staff Sergeant.

5. TRON: Legacy

I watched this at my friend’s condo while we were drinking. But I must say maganda ang graphics. ‘Yun lang. Hehe.
