I had dinner with some friends at A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante in Glorietta 3 last Tuesday. One’s leaving for the US on Monday so we had a little get together. It’s been a while and we all missed it. As usual, we ordered the Oil and Garlic Seafood with White Sauce Pasta. It’s spaghetti cooked in olive oil with bits of garlic, and very generous amounts of seafood: shrimps (and not just the very tiny ones), squid, and mussels. White sauce (like in Carbonara) is added too. The result is heavenly. The white sauce is not too thick and heavy, and coats the pasta just about right. The serving is big enough for 2 to 3 people so it’s really good value for money.
For the pizza, we then ordered the Howie’s Special. It’s anchovies with garlic. It’s a little on the salty side, but just right for our taste buds. It has a thin crust so it’s not really that heavy.
We also ordered the Deep Fried Crabsticks for appetizer since we were very hungry and wanted to munch on something right away before the main course comes. These were crabsticks coated in batter with ranch dip on the side. The dip lacked some taste though. But the crabsticks were still great.
For dessert, we went to Red Mango in Greenbelt 3 for some frozen yogurt fix. We love that it has the consistency of sundae but it’s not too sweet and not too sour, just right. We added toppings for maximum enjoyment. They had two choices, original and green tea but we still got the original although the green tea’s good too. It somewhat tastes like the Green Tea Frappuccino from Starbucks. Small cups go for Php 80, medium cups go for Php 115, large cups go for Php150, and the family cups go for Php 220. Just add Php 5 for the Green Tea variant. If you want to a topping, you have to add Php 20, Php 30 for 2 toppings, and Php 40 for 3 toppings.
