Stress drilon ang byahe papuntang HK ngayon. Unlike 2 years ago na walang hassle masyado. I started packing only last Sunday night. Then I was able to finish at past midnight. I said I’d wake up at 3AM but lo and behold, my alarm failed me. N had to wake me up at almost 4:30AM. Oh and did I mention he, together with A, dropped me off at the airport? How sweet, ‘no? I almost cried. Not! Hahaha! Anyway, ang daming tao so ang tagal ng check-in process. Nakakainis pa sa immigration kasi ang dami tinanong sa’kin at humingi pa ng invitation letter pero si L go lang ng go. Mukha ba akong hindi mapagkakatiwalaan? O baka dahil mukha s’yang Chinese? Anyway ulit, as PAL means Plane Always Late, we left the airport past our 8AM schedule. When we arrived at the airport, box office sa immigration. As in kala mo pila ng pelikula ni John Lloyd Cruz. Ang tagal talaga. And as usual, L got in with no questions asked whatsoever. I therefore conclude, yun ay dahil mukha s’yang Chinese. Hahaha! Nagpaload kami ng Octopus card then we took the Airport Express (train) to Tsing Yi station then took a cab to our hotel. We then proceeded with the check-in at the Rambler Oasis Hotel which took all of 30 minutes. Unfortunately, our rooms were still being cleaned so the receptionist asked us to go back after an hour. Hello kuya, papasok pa kami sa office. Good thing they have this sort of baggage counter so we just left our luggage and proceeded to the office. We first took a mini bus to the Kwai Fong station then took the MTR and got off at the Prince Edward station. We changed train lines then got off at Ngau Tau Kok where our office is located. Good thing the office was a short walk away. Oh and did I say super lamig? As in nilalamig pati ang fez ko. Commute to the office took around 45 minutes or more. Off peak hours pa ‘yon. Stress drilon talaga ang byahe sa layo. Good luck bukas. When we got to the office, walang nagbubukas ng pinto. Lunch time kasi nila. That was 1PM already. Buti na lang may dumating then pinapasok kami. I met Iris then. We said not yet. So pinakain n’ya muna kami. We proceeded to Café de Coral na short walking distance away. Walang table so take away na lang pero biglang may free table na when we got our food so dun na namin kinain. I ordered the Baked Porckhop. And yung sauce sobrang sarap. Maasim asim pero ang sarap talaga. Heaven. So enough about food. I started my “training” almost 4PM na. Pinauwi naman kami ng maaga kasi nga we had a long day na rin. When we got our key cards, bad trip kasi hindi magkatabi room namin. Mine was 33. Hers was 20. Epal. Tapos tinamaan pa ng magaling. Hindi namin mabuksan mga room namin! So I went down and asked the receptionist how to do it. I tried to have our rooms changed pero parehong katabi namin occupied na. Ours is with a double bed kasi unlike other rooms na 2 single beds. Becaue we were really hungry, we went to the Rambler Plaza for dinner. We had the Shrimp Wanton Noodle Soup at Super Super. How would I describe it? I love the wantons. Ang lambot nung shrimp e. Perfect yung pagkakaluto. The taste was okay din. I added a little chili lang para mas masarap. Pepper din pala. Tapos ‘yung noodles ang cute, payat. The serving was medyo bitin nga lang. Hahaha!
After dinner, maggrocery dapat kami sa Park and Shop pero may bayad ang plastic bags nila so ang nabili lang namin ay water at wafers. Sobrang lamig talaga. Eh medyo napalayo ang nilakad namin nung pabalik dahil epal ako. Haha. We just fixed our stuff muna. Sabi nga pala, kaya raw malayo hotel namin kasi peak season sa HK ngayon so fully booked mga hotel. Parang hindi ako naniniwala. I get the feeling na tinipid kami. Pero ok lang din siguro. Matutulog na ‘ko. Stress drilon na naman kami nito bukas. Hay.
